What are peoples thoughts on this one? Very low miles but quite basic in terms of equipment. Is it a tad pricey given the equipment level or about right?

Pretty basic spec bar heated seats and PDC…paying a premium for both low miles and a dealer…
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

I think PDC sensors and heated seats should be treated as a given on these cars, shouldn't they? That makes the spec even worse.

They do come fairly well equipped as standard though to be fair.
I'd happily have an e89 M sport with PDC F&R, Heated Seats and an upgraded sound system.
Leather, Xenons, Nice wheels and other bits are standard anyway.

Just for context; I have a 2013 car with the same mileage and a better spec. I would expect to get around £10k for it at present as a private sale. It's not for sale BTW!
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Understood, lol.
I'm a bit nervous of private purchase. Maybe because I've never done it. Something I need to overcome, I guess

If it's because you think you may buy a 'lemon' then an RAC or AA inspection can help immensely. Will still be a lot cheaper than paying dealer premiums if you don't have to (finance px etc).

If you buy a car with a BMW insured warranty you will have a good level of safety.
The warranty requires a proper / verified service record and is transferable to a new owner.
It would certainly reduce the worry factor for me!
My car is £23k trade in value and circa £29k dealership selling price and a bmw warranty- if I was selling it privately you would be getting nothing less than a dealer would be offering?
Ie fully serviced , with a history and a warranty!
Ps not selling!

It's got more standard bits on it than my E85. But then so does a new Bradford's wheelbarrow
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.

If you do buy privately, go to the garage that serviced the car and ask about its service record and any remedial work done - They will probably want to continue with your business and give you a potted history.

Sorry everyone. I might have a few of these, lol.
Thoughts on this one? Well spec'd, I think.

mine is a manual so can’t comment on the auto box
If I was buying it would tick lots of my boxes, the only one for me personally that I’m not a fan of is is the mileage but that’s personal preference & I’m sure others will say it’s no issue. I have no evidence to back that statement up I just know when I was looking I wanted one under 35k miles as I intend to keep mine for a long time & I was using it as daily doing between 5-8k miles a year

I'd prefer lower mileage too but I don't think it's an issue on a looked after i6. It's a weekender for me and it works for my budget. Lower miles=higher price so a bit of a trade off. I could wait for winter I guess.PointedMarlin wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 8:01 pmI like the look of thatt90ark wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 6:58 pm Sorry everyone. I might have a few of these, lol.

My last one was manual too. I know it's a different box than my F15 but at my age, the auto works, lol.

Mileage is fine, bought my 23i at 74k, had the car 2 years and now on 82k with no real issues, I could have bought one with 40k on it but 3k more so horses for courses with mileage / cost
looks like a decent spec car

Yeah, I'm not bothered with mileage. Would like a year or two newer, but again, budget.Ole gits rule wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 8:44 pm Mileage is fine, bought my 23i at 74k, had the car 2 years and now on 82k with no real issues, I could have bought one with 40k on it but 3k more so horses for courses with mileage / cost

How would you compare the 23 to the 30? Definitely more 23's to choose from.
