All G-series platform cars are using 5*112 PCD. The F-Series cars are the last generation that uses 5*120 PCD.
sars wrote: Sat Jan 01, 2022 3:43 pm what’s the offset on the G31 rears, they look a little inbound
The rear are very inbound instead of a little inbound. Below is the spec comparison. Basically, the rim is 1inch narrower for the G31 which is the main factor to the inbound. ET is actually similar and I doubt the 2mm and 4mm difference are noticeable

G29. vs. G31
Front. 9Jx19 ET32 with 255/35R19 8Jx19 ET30 with 245/40R19
Rear. 10Jx19 ET40 with 275/35R19 9Jx19 ET44 with 275/35R19
sars wrote: Sat Jan 01, 2022 3:43 pm Agree the smaller width makes a difference in noise levels.
As above spec says, the rears are the same size. Fronts are 10mm narrower. I doubt the comfort and noise are caused by this 10mm difference in tyre width. It's more about the tyre compound and design. PSS's performance is much better than the P-Zero 4th gen LS but it's also much harder and louder than the P-Zero.

I decided to look for 265/36/19 Conti tyres. From what I read, most places selling them are not sending the tyres from UK, but somewhere from Europe, Holland or Germany.

I think you will find those to be exceptionally rare.. :tumbleweed:

265/35/19 should be more common!
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard..

My bad ;-) Still, 265/35/19 are not popular size.

After last year's poor performance of Vredestein Wintrac tyres, I bought a pair of Contis to match with existing pair of Contis and that setup is great. With Vredesteins on the rear, car was wandering on the lanes and rear wasn't very stable at higher speeds. Contis on all corners solved the problem. So now, I have 4 x 255/35/19. Tyre shop made a bit of drama when fitting them on the rear, thinking they are too narrow for alloys, but all was ok. Rear wheels don't look pretty with that narrow tyres, not protecting them from kerbs, but I can live with it.

I already did 2000 miles on them in last 10 days and car drives perfectly. Went on alpine passes and even saw some snow fall and -2C.

Yesterday i picked up a set of secondhand styling 800 rims with Hankook winter tyres.
Because the rear tyres had just 3.5mm of profil they will be replaced by Continental wintercontact ts830p friday.
So now the time to clean them end put them in 2 layers of glascoating.

They, like the wheels SARS has, look far too good for only winter wheels. Hope you got a good deal

So the Z4 M40i standard wheel, 800M are 9 x 19 front and 10 x 19 rear, staggered generally refers to one axle having different sized wheels than the other. For winters the BMW recommended set up the Z4 would be 9 x 19 all round with 255/45 r18 (M40i) so was wondering what yours are.

These are the standard M40I wheels, so at the front the 9x19 255/35/19 and at the rear 10x19 275/35/19. I was looking for the 18" wheels but this looks much better and they already where fitted with wintertyres only the rear where just 3mm so these replaced for new Continental 275/35/19 860s tyres.
