Sadly whilst on holiday a friend passed away, just 4 weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer..
His joy was his MG (MGB I think) that he and his wife pottered in across the UK.
His widow has asked me to sell the car on her behalf.
For good reasons she's asked for the sale to be financially biased rather than 'a good home'..
Not being in that market was seeking advice on best places to advertise and getting a realistic market valuation?
Any help would be appreciated..

We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Where to sell a MG for a recently deceased friend?
Sorry to hear that Peter.
I would firstly contact the car clubs:
https://www.mgownersclub.co.uk/ or www.mgcc.co.uk
They should be able to value the car and give a good idea on desirability. MGs have a massive enthusiast following and the clubs may even know of potential buyers.
Car and Classic classifieds or good old eBay once you have a realistic value. There are quite a few MG 'specialist' dealers, but they will obviously beat the price down.
Mathewsons (Bangers and Cash) or anglia car auctions may be worth a call too.
If it's a V8 or MGC, give me a shout!

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

My dad sold his exceptional 1967 MGB GT a couple of years ago to a specialist dealer and had a bad experience. I would definitely try the clubs first. The offers that my dad received via the trade varied massively. If it's an early, very good one then my guess is that it will be difficult to price because of a) its rarity and b) it has to find the right buyer, despite it being worth decent money to that buyer.
