Most delusional advert I've seen in a while - you couldn't even weigh it in as scrappers buy steel, not rust!

My employer in the early 80s used to run these as entry-level company cars, but I was lucky enough to never have a job that would have got me lumbered with one. I did drive a few though and they were crap even by 80s standards.

All you'd actually be buying would be a V5 and a VIN plate.

My best mate's dad had a 1.1 popular as a company car in 1979. It had 4 vinyl seats, a steering wheel and a heater. That was it.

I know! That same employer took delivery of a MK3 1982 Popular as a pool car. I had it for its second day on the fleet and had to rag it to death to get it moving!

Vinyl seats, no carpet just rubber mats on the floor, no HRW, no rear wash/wipe, no passenger side door mirror - a hateful POS.

Well, it sounds better than the bloody awful and old Austin Allegro my boss gave me to drive around in.
