Hello, thought I'd share how I burn MP3 data CDs for listening to in my 2009 E89 with Professional head unit.
Sharing as frequently I find using Windows built-in burning feature causes the head unit to display 'CD Error' message.
Download, install and run 'BurnAware Free' for Windows. At the time of writing this I'm using version 15.8
Run BurnAware then select Data Disc
Then select Options (double cog icon or press F10)
At the Burn tab ensure Finalize disc is enabled
At the ISO tab ensure ISO 9660 + Joliet and ISO Level 3 (128 chars) is selected, then click OK
You should now be back at the Data Disc screen, from here you can add your MP3 files then select Burn to create the CD.
MP3 file names will be shown on the display (LIST).
MP3 file song title and artist (if included in the MP3 file) will be shown on the display (TRACK)
Enjoy!

Good write-up.
But don't you find it quicker, easier and cheaper to simply use a memory stick?

That would only work if you have the USB socket in the centre console, not all E89's have the USB as it was an option.SV8Predator wrote: ↑Tue Sep 06, 2022 8:35 pm Good write-up.
