Good work, did you tie it down and conceal it? I plan to do this over the winter.

I've had 2 of my previous cars done by the famous Durham Dave and I was going to take this one to him as well but thought I'd have a go myself. I definitely wasn't as quick as Dave but he's had a lot more practice than me. I'm happy with the results though

Been a tad lying in very strange contortions in the boot! This is all about my known issue with the roof electro-hydraulic motor, and with the fantastic advice from Zebedee Ben on the overall operation of diagnosing and removal.and relocation, and then Mat who is fitting a replacement more deep throaty exhaust for me in the next couple of weeks, I've heard the motor pumping on down.and up, and the front rail above the windscreen locking is working fine, the central lockout is working fine and put a socket into the Spring to continue the activation.

So the fun was finding the route to removing the left hand rail,.there was one hidden plastic rivet in the vertical plane hidden which required the removal with nose pliers of a plastic plug, which then released the rivet which was holding the plastic rubber cover to the wheelarch internally which was holding the rail, this was missed in a lot of guidance!

The plug is half way along the rail.and is pretty hidden. So finally.worked.it out and got this.out so stopped wrecking my elbow on this rail whilst lying with my self wedged into the boot stretched out with a head into the corner to try to see the motor in the torch light.

Finally got round to fitting a few bits of custom made carbon, as well as the new doorpanels and extra door speakers. Sound has improved noticeably and should make the trip next week more enjoyable
Four Alfa's and a Ducati later, I've turned to the dark side...

Well as we have a hose pipe ban, the MR needed a wash and it was chucking it down with rain today. I drove it out of the garage and washed it, simply using the rain water that was hammering down. :D

Back to being sensible in the morning. I'm off for another walk on Dartmoor.

ronk, actually we took the fairly unknown Sorenberg, followed by the Grimselpass, Furkapass, Andermatt and Lukmanierpass. Between them there were a few smaller passes, all in all a 550km daytrip ending at lake Como

Naturally our arrival at the Hotel Belvédère required the gratuitous pass picture 8)
