Selling my Z4 as I’m planning to go traveling so would rather it go to someone who is using it instead of it being sat on the driveway months on end. I will definitely be very sad to see it go and would love to have been able to keep it.
Looking for £4950
Located in Wiltshire (Melksham)
The main details are:
- 3.0 Litre Six Cylinder
- Manual 6 speed gearbox
- 81,452 miles
- 12 months MOT
- Back box delete, gives it a much nicer tone.
- Black Kidney grills fitted
- Heated Seats
- Electric seats with memory
- Xeon Headlights
- MV3 BMW Alloys
- Drivers side cupholder
- Automatic lights
- M Sport gear knob
- 10 speaker sound system with speakers behind seats.
- K&N Air filter
- Stubby Arial
- 6 disk multi CD changer
I’ve not had it long, just over a year and have done less than 3,000 miles in it during my ownership. The roof motor works completely fine and functions nicely, I have cleaned out the drain holes for the motor to prevent any build up of water. I was planning to relocate it but hadn’t had the chance.
A good service history with plenty of stamps in the service book. Loads of paper work, it looks to be all the paperwork since 2006 when it was bought from a BMW approved garage for £19k
There’s a few issues with it:
- The left rear quarter has a dent in it, I’ve tried to capture it in the photos.
- The door locks can be a bit temperamental, I leave the car unlocked 90% of the time as I’m worried someone will stick a knife through the roof.
It’s a really nice car and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the short time I’ve had with it.
Apologies for the long description but I wanted to try and highlight everything I could remember about the car.
I have loads more picture and If you have any questions please feel free to get in contact.

Looks decent! Black on mv3s is a great look.
How quickly it sells all comes down to the price...

Besides the price (a forum rule), location would be helpful too...

Door locking likely going to be GM5 module issue. Pretty easy fix for anyone looking at this.

Nice looking motor that: good spec and a decent mileage.
Please don't see this as a criticism, but as an observational point:-
You seem to epitomise the owners who have fared worst with the fluctuating prices, as discussed elsewhere on the forum.
I suspect you bought this car at a not dissimilar price and expect to recoup a great deal of that? And fingers crossed you can do so.
However, prices have tumbled throughout 2022. You only have to review all the For Sale ads on the forum to see how many either aren't shifting or have had to take a drop in expectations.
eBay and fb sellers seem in the main to be wafting along on last year's cloud and the prices are high there too. But not many are selling.
A couple of tweaks may help you. See if you can sort the locking (probably a GM5 issue as already mentioned. And when it comes to presentation, the first thing a buyer will see is the worn bolster on the seat. A bottle of Furniture Clinic leather restorer will sort that quickly.
Good luck and I hope you do find it a new home at a price that suits both parties. You've chosen the hardest market here, but you will get genuine enquiries.
