Transport Companies - Any Recs?

Hi all

After a break to ruin myself in an SLK55, I’m back in a Zed having found a lovely one on the forum.
Only problem is it’s in Scotland, and I’m not…..
Can anyone recommend a transport company who could collect and deliver the car? Best quote from Shiply so far is £340 - seems a little high, but could just be the going rate is a lot higher in this seemingly never ending rise in cost of living!!

I have used a small car delivery company recently who were extremely good and very reasonable. They are local to me, South Lincs, but not too far from Stoke.
I don't think he would beat a Shipley quote, but he is reliable, reasonable, a really nice honest bloke and goes that extra; ie he spent 15 minutes assessing the car for me when he picked it up as I hadn't physically seen it.

I paid him £350 to collect a car from Exeter and deliver it to me in Spalding as an example. This was in May so fuel was at current prices.

Another thumbs up for Shiply - I've had a few dealings with them, including getting the number of one chap and using him separately a few times. Suspect there's no point in me sharing his details as he's based local to me in Guildford, but shout if you're really stuck!

Have got a guy going up to get it for me on Sunday - will report back if it was a success, on cost and contact info in case anyone else needs anything moving. Gonna be a long couple of days wait.....

Hi All. Update, car delivered on time, in professional manner by a cracking bloke called Steve. Cost, from Scotland to Staffordshire, was a very reasonable £250.
Guy was friendly, had lots of tales from his F1 days, and the communication was great.
