My neighbour towed his 1934 Citroen round my place last week, he’s had it several years but never really used it & it wouldn’t start anymore.

I drove it back round to him last Thursday, the fuel had gone stale so i drained the tank, cleaned the strange spark plugs & the contact breaker points in the magneto ignition.
Couple of turns on the starting handle & it was away
Felt a bit strange with the throttle in the middle and the brake pedal on the right Rob

Very different!
Funnily enough a mate of mine bought a 1931 Alvis a few months ago that he has just managed to get running.

Think yourself lucky Rob. Being a French car built in a short non-threatening period between the wars, it actually has a forward gear!

He’s also got some tractors he’s looking to get rid of, they’ve been in storage for a while as well. I don’t know much about those so I’ve been keeping quiet about them, he’s got over 80 of them Rob

Interesting collection of vehicles. One of my parents’ neighbours keeps traction engines in his barn. The older I get, the more interesting I find them!
Z4MC - heavily fettled for track use
Lotus Exige - sensible daily driver on the mods slippery slope
Westfield SEiW - in hibernation
Modified RS4 Avant - back in Blighty
S2000 GT - gone

Fascinating what people collect … but 80 tractors
Living in the country lots of the farmers have an old tractor in a shed or maybe two
There’s regular local tractor runs which bring out some interesting sights
