You don’t need the whole top mount assembly unless it’s damaged which is highly unlikely. Just the bearing is fine, part number: 31331090612
It should only be around £20 each, I wouldn’t bother getting a different make even if it’s possible with that part, just go OE.

Z4MR - Gruppe M, Bilstein PSS10, CSL's + 18" CSL reps with semi's, RTAB Limiters, Powerflex’d, PF Camber Arms, K-Sport BBK / RSL-29, GC Camber Plates, Strut Brace, Exhaust valves, custom brake cooling, complete underside refresh!

Top mounts do wear, the rubber cracks. I would change them, they are not too expensive, but aren’t cheap either

You mean this rubber bit?
None of the specialists I went to recommended changing that part just the bearing.
IMO if you want to be perfect go for it, you won’t have much of a bank account left though if you replace everything you possibly can when you don’t need to on these cars. You can inspect it when your changing the suspension / changing the bearing if you want and if it looks damaged replace it, I would bet money on it being absolutely fine.
Mine have 100k on them and are showing no wear at all? Rubber on those bits are hard as nails not the usual softer type rubber you find on the boots of the other suspension parts, no cracks on mine.None of the specialists I went to recommended changing that part just the bearing.

it can happen, see this. I changed them, but if the rubber looks good, you can reuse. I would change them though

Different top mounts, not sure you can compare TBH. I've never heard of a Z4M (or E46 M3) have top mount issues in that department, I stand to be corrected though.maupineda wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 12:07 am it can happen, see this. I mean you'll be looking at them anyway if your changing the suspension so look then. Have to agree to disagree on just changing them though, if it ain't broke....throwing money away IMO.
