Transferred money via bank transfer. Used my normal current account though
For future reference buying a car through a dealer its far better to pay by card not transfer .
A rarely exercised right as a buyer is "chargeback " where your bank can on your behalf return funds to your account by taking from the sellers account whether they agree or not .
My son used this recently with a £23k Mercedes bought from a main dealer 200 miles from home , they inisisted it was their right to attempt to repair before refund if he returned it to them , he wanted to reject the car completely , his bank " Barclays " took his information on board with regard the faults & within 48hrs he had the funds back in his account with car still on drive .
The dim deaers were still asking him to return the car to be repaired weeks after this refund :P eventually the car was parked at local main dealer ( same franchise) , keys handed in to reception & told where they could collect it .

From its MoT history, it doesn’t appear to have been a well maintained or loved car with 7 fails to it’s name.

I hope it all works out for you.
