intermittent roof problems

I did find a code stored stated as “Soft top module CTM” A694 Microswitch “cowl panel reached” and some other historic codes. I cleared all and roadtested and read codes again. None returned as yet and roof works ok.
These A694 sometimes may appear randomly, AFAIK not critical if it disappears.
Pardon, je suis Allemand

intermittent roof problems

I’m going to refit the module in the boot on Saturday and a friend is going to “code” how I want it to operate, ie single press opening from the buttons in the car and also by the remote. Hoping it will behave then. Thanks, Tony.

ps. I’ve ordered a pair of relays for tomorrow from Sopers at Lincoln..

real quick, what are your thoughts on this

https://www.tophydraulics.com/bmw-z4-e8 ... -unit.html

It would take 4 weeks to have it rebuilt and sent back, this might be a stupid question, but can i remove the pump and still drive my car for those few weeks? any specific precautions that i would have to take?
