Well semi permanently disable it anyway. I disabled mine a year ago and it worked fine for a few months but now the stop / start works sometimes but not at other times

I only had it once on a diesel 1 Series.

I can't help thinking that may be why the battery didn't last 5 years and the starter motor didn't last 7. There was also a suggestion it didn't help prolong cam-chain life on the N47 engine. :(

As I didn't know it could be coded off I made a point of always turning it off!
Coupes because stunning!

Or just use Bimmercode, that will do it. I can now watch TV while moving, another 'directive' circumnavigated. :D
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

For the present will just have to get used to remembering to use that button each time I turn the engine on. It’s right next to the start button so not to much energy used even by my standards.

Don’t know how far away Scubaregs is from Gods country but perhaps at some point in the future if passing nearby, will take him up on his kind offer. May even stand him a pint or two. Please note the word May! :D
I'm slap bang in the middle of God's own country. :D
If God was going to give the world an enema, he'd stick the needle in Yorkshire.

Nanu, you can code it out. I've coded mine out. I did that for ori as well.

He did and it’s still held! Wonder if I will need to code it again when software update launches.

I don't think the previous RSU wipe out my coding. But if the dealer update the software, they will certainly wipe out the coding.

Stop start annoying

I've been driving cars with start/stop for last 10 years, so got used to switching it off every time. I only use it when stuck in traffic. As long, as there's physical button, it's not so bad. Had one car with no buttons and it was very annoying to wait for screen to load and then switch off start/stop. Never getting another car without physical buttons on console.
