Quite a few topics covering which waxes etc to put on, but what are people using to remove old waxes etc.

Was going to try a lot of car shampoo with a good dose of washing up liquid?

My 108s got a refurb last week then I've
got my clay, da polisher, megs compound, poor boys black hole and autoglym hd wax to go at.

She's going to be looking good.

Personally, I'd avoid the washing up liquid because of the salt content.
To remove products, I would use a surface cleanser. For example, Poorboy's Strip Down or Chemical Guys Clean Slate.
If you need to go further, use a clay bar and lubricant.

Only one product for me. When I waxed my cars I always used this to remove old wax, tree sap etc. A great smelly product that can be applied by cloth and rinsed off.

Just going slightly off topic but I always used to use Maguires wax, 2 coats all over and a third coat on upper surfaces. Whole process took about 2 days which included a machine polish. That was until I spoke to Byron, one of our expert colleagues on the subject and he put me onto Gtechniq C2 ceramic sealant.

Today I washed the girl and rinsed her off. Then 8 minutes later the results can been seen. Spray the product onto the wet surface and wipe off with a drying towel and hey presto! The photos don’t actually do it justice.

It’s supposed to last for b/w 4 to 8 months depending on who you believe.

Will never go back to wax which although gives excellent results, is far too hard work.
