I've been on the board for a month or so but formally saying hi. Bought my 2011 Z4 35is back in April after spending months looking for the right one. My requirements were 1) one owner, 2) <30K miles, 3) Melbourne Red, 4) black interior, and 5) fully optioned. Got lucky with an awesome private seller 2,800 miles across the country. Flew there, checked it out, paid, then had it shipped to me a week later. Car only has 25K miles and still has new-car smell. Unbelievably well taken care of.

Only changes made since purchase are new 326m wheels and stubby antenna. Car came with 295 wheels (in pristine condition) but not to my personal taste. I've always favored square edged split 5-spoke BMW wheels. I will start doing preventative maintenance in the summer.

My main car will continue to be my 2014 550i as the space will be necessary for family tasks. I do all the wrenching and work on that car myself. Needless to say, I know everything about F10s but nothing about E89s, so looking forward to becoming an active contributor.

Welcome to the forum, great looking car, red really suits the E89. Would be my colour choice.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Thank you all for the kind welcome! Really excited about the car and can't wait for weekend drives. My neighbor knows I'm a BMW fanatic and asked me how the Z4 compares to the 550i. I just summed it up like this: 550i has a refined ride and insane smooth acceleration, but the Z4 is all about tantalizing brute power and connection with the road.
