Loving the beast!

Post by Sgreen » Sat May 14, 2022 8:30 am

I have had the G29 a few weeks now and just cannot smiling. It is an amazing car, my only wish would be for more noise from the exhaust as it is sooo quiet even in Sport Plus. But given how amazing it is I can forgive it that. In Wales this week with some friends and looking forward to some top down action. The weather is beautiful. Hope you all have a great weekend with your beasts.

Enjoy your weekend, lovely place Wales.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Great to hear you are enjoying it, WOW is the word :driving:

Re the sound, it the one thing I thought it could do more of too but………

Funnily enough on our recent trip to Wales at a stop another forum member, with not the best hearing, was talking in the group. The comment he made was along the lines of “I love travelling behind you, the noise, pops and bangs are great, but when I hear that :censored: roar I know you’re :censored: off and it’s time for me to get grief for trying to keep up with you”

So I think the cabin is very quiet and we’re not getting the noise experience we want but outside the cabin it seems to be more of a spectacle. I did look at back boxes, including ACS, but £3k for a bit more noise wasn’t that appealing to me tbh. Personally if I was spending that I’d rather spend that on fuel and weekends away

G29 M40i Thundernight with Ivory interior, all option packs (here for a while, hopefully )

E89 35iS, Valencia Orange, Design Pure Traction pack (Gone)
    E89 23i sDrive, Silver (Gone)

Lovely stuff. Looks like quite the trip!

Not going to lie, seeing these pics and the nice weather is making me feel very :( about my car having not arrived yet.
