turn signal question
have a 2014 and have it set for triple turn signal. On my MINI there is the option to have it set for 5 times. Is there any kind of patch/program update that will allow this? Really miss it.

appreciate all the help. If I go with Carly which of the many interface units would I select? If Bimmercode, how do I know which module is currently in the car. Thanks....

If you state your location there maybe someone local who could code this for you.stevenfstein wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 8:31 pm appreciate all the help. If I go with Carly which of the many interface units would I select? If Bimmercode, how do I know which module is currently in the car. Thanks....

That could be a problem!
There's a thread on here about members who have Carly but they are all in the UK.
Might be worth trying other BMW forums - my other car is an E90 3 Series and I joined e90post.com and nearly everyone on there is Stateside!
Someone on there might be willing to help out an E89 owner.

This should help, although it's not 100% accurate. Some things I couldn't dostevenfstein wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 8:31 pm appreciate all the help. If I go with Carly which of the many interface units would I select? If Bimmercode, how do I know which module is currently in the car. Thanks....

The Carly $60 annual membership is utter bollocks. People say to get BimmerCode instead. But should one must-have coding be on Carly only, how do the two systems interact? If you flash with Carly, does the BimmerCode flash stay? Thanks.

Bimmercode is a better deal with a one off payment, and I don't think there would be any issues as it's not a flash but altering the BMW settings? I could be wrong of course
I've managed to change a few settings, including the indicators, but Bimmercode wouldn't change mirrors close on lock.

I suspect that all my vanity recoding lies in a bit of both. Somebody said on the American site that BimmerCode saves a copy of the original code in your phone. Which suggests it’s preferable to run it first. Then Carly. But I know zilch about this stuff.
I wouldn’t mind buying one year of Carly, do the coding, and not renew. And later on, if needed, buy another year’s membership.

Is this something that my local BMW dealership can code next time it is in for service? Seems that if an aftermarket device can interface with the car then certainly BMW programming should be able to do the same??

BMW tool sets can do more than any other 3rd party products..but they may charge a fee greater than buying a coding tool..stevenfstein wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 4:21 pm Is this something that my local BMW dealership can code next time it is in for service?
