Rear Fuse Block Location
While installing an Apple CarPlay module, I shorted the hot lead to my DSP amplifier (which thankfully was unplugged at the time). I've read that BMWs have a "rear fuse block" which, among other things, contains the fuse(s) for the OEM amplifier. I've searched, but haven't found it. Does anyone know where the rear fuse block is located and what it looks like?

These relays (which I believe control the folding hard top) are located next to the battery, but I don't see any fuses.

I pulled the battery to get a better look at what is contained in the battery compartment. I don't see a fuse block???

Using a VOM, I traced the problem to the red power distribution box on the right side of the battery well. Doing some checking, there are internal fuses for each of the connections. Is it possible to replace one fuse, and if so how, or does the entire power distribution box have to be replaced?

I'm not sure if there are fuses there.
I assumed there might be the high power type.
Seems rather complicated if all it is is a busbar.
Seems a lot of high current wires if there are no fuses.
What happens if you pull a plug out, is fuse on the end of it.

The spanner seems to suggest location of bolts.

It opens the small door on the side where a positive lead is bolted into the junction box and exits out the top opening.

My car has a wobbly idle on start related to voltage.
I will have a look in the boot tomorrow. My car might have something lose in there.

The fuses in the distribution box are not replaceable, so I've gone ahead and ordered a new one.

I assume BMW think if one of those blows, it's a major fault they need to fix
