Yes, nice to see  when the world is in an awful state at the moment, its nice to see nature just keeps on going in spite of us.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Lovely to see Rob.

Think we have just scared a brood of fledging Song Thrushes into moving out. We are having the soffits, facias, gutters etc done at the moment. Scaffolding went up last week, on the front and sides of the house. The birds were nesting in the eves at the back. The guys started work yesterday. This morning there was a right commotion from about 5am for a few hours. Found one dead fledgling in the garden about 8am, looked like a cat got it. No sign of any nesting birds now.

Good news for us, as we can now get the rear done, rear scaffolding up today work should all be finished tomorrow.

I do hope a few of the fledglings made it. Reading up apparently only about a third survive from nest to adult.

Nature is no picnic for some.

It's lovely to watch them nest and then hatch out. My local bird watching patch has had a few broods of Mallard and Canada's but as per usual their number soon dwindle as they sadly get predated buy either foxes, mink and greater black back gulls, even watched a heron gulp one down last week :( That's the trouble with larger patches of water. Fingers crossed yours grow up big and strong :D

In a neighbouring village to ours there is a stream. Every year there are lots of fledglings. They are a lovely sight but regularly stop the traffic as the stream is right beside the road that runs through the village. Somehow seeing them lifts your spirits. :D
