BMW 224 wheels

Yes, they are a straight fit, BUT I'd get rid of the "M" profile tyres, as IMO, it makes the car look like a 4x4! Also I was getting some rubbing on the fronts on M sport suspension, even without the spacers.

Here's mine on "std" ie 225/fronts and 255/35 rears, with 15mm spacers on the fronts..

Thanks for the replies folks

I'm in need of one new rear tyre so I reckon I'll go for a new pair of 255/35/18's on the rear. Then change the fronts as and when.

£268 for a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 3 fitted :? 18's don't half increase in price compared to 17's!

Where from mate. Cheapest I could get quoted for all 4 was £575 when I was thinking of putting my 224s back on still May as I can’t decide between new CSLs instead of reps or go back to 224s

Hi guys! I really want to buy the 224 style for my Z4 non M E85 but i’m not sure...
Do you think i will have a problem with 225/40/18 tires on the front and 255/35/18 on the rear?
I want to mention that i do not have the stock suspension, it has been replaced with a D2 custom.

Thanks a lot!

So is it ok to fit 3.0si standard F 225/40/18 and R 255/35/18 on 224’s with them being slightly wider ?

There's no reason why not.

OE tyre sizes on 224s for the Ms were the same, it was only the profile that was different.
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

My 2004 2.2 has the 224s with 225/40 front and 245/40 rear. Only thing I notice is the rear ones are sticking out more that other wheels. But no rubbing.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.
