Can you blame them when their vans cost this:

EX VAT too!
That is absolute madness. It is a Transporter VAN. It's not even new

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

No wonder tradesmen charge so much
I was chatting to a colleague today about tradesmen. This was our take on things.
Monday’s work pays for your van, tools etc
Tuesdays work pays for the diesel, insurance and maintenance.
Wednesdays work pays the tax man.
Thursdays work pays for your holiday pay, sick pay, pension.
Fridays work is your wages for the week.
Saturdays work is cos you can’t live on one days wages.

Being a tradesman I concur with this , I bought a Transit custom Limited just over a year ago ...expensive van but reliable...nothing worse than a customer getting the Monday " my van has broken down so I won't be there " callDave1971 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 5:36 pm I was chatting to a colleague today about tradesmen. I was a tradesman for over 30 years. The last new van I bought, a Merc Vito, was about £12,000. It was pretty awful BTW.
