Lite wheel refurb - Bucks area

Post by Neens76 » Tue Feb 22, 2022 3:35 pm

Hello, I have two 108 split rims that could do with a lite refurb. Anyone recommend anywhere that will do this? I’m in Buckinghamshire, near Milton Keynes - don’t mind a little drive but no more than half hour.

Thanks
Paul

Paul,
As your 108s are split rim, I would give these people a call. I have not used them but have a mate who has done work there and said they have all the gear (don't know their costs though):

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Thanks Pondrew
They look fancy, don’t they? I’ll give them a buzz. It’s a job on the list rather than a must; if it was £100 a wheel then it’d happen sooner than £300 a wheel!!

The 'average' is £60-70 (plus the dreaded) per wheel, so I would expect to pay £100 for a two piece.
And yes they do look fancy (especially for MK) :poke: :D

Haas CNC lathes/ machining centres are the 'Rolls Royce' from what I have been told.

£200 is easier to swallow - before my wife asks why I’m spending more money on a car I’ve owned barely 4 days.

Mine are two tone, too. Hopefully that won’t up the price too far.

Any other ideas around the MK/Bucks/Leighton Buzzard area as the guys at Supreme Wheels don’t do split rims.
