Automatic Airco ‘auto’ knob

Post by WouterZZZZ » Mon Jan 24, 2022 2:37 pm

Hello E85 fans, could you please help me out here:
the 'auto' button of the automatic air conditioning, regularly cuts out. Just like that, while driving.
If I then just press, the air conditioning hangs on automatic for a while and then falls back.
Do you have any idea what could be the cause?
Friendly greetings from The Netherlands

First move will be to put a code reader on it to see if any codes have been set in the aircon module, codes may well point you in the right direction for a fix.

Try moving all the adjustment knobs a bit, mine kept switching off auto and it was because one of the knobs was in-between settings

Indeed, the adjustment of the knobs made a difference. The auto knob is not ‘falling out’ anymore.
There were no fault codes. Thanks for the help!

Yup, you certainly don't want your knob falling out!
