E89 - 437M alloys, tyre size confirmation - Sorted

BC coilovers on route so finally time to get the tyres sorted for my oem 437m alloys.

Plan is to go 235/35 front and 265/30 rear, anyone using these sizes on genuine 437's, just wondering how the tyre stretch looked and if it was possible to go wider on the front?

I've searched and have seen a mixed number of tyres discussed but I think some of the suggestions may be fitted to rep wheels

235/35 and 265/30 are the minimum sizes given the 9j 10j widths

For DSC reasons 235/35 and 275/30 would be better

Mine are reps but I use 235\ 35\ 19 front.
275\ 35\ 19 rears with 20mm lower than non M sport springs so -10mm than sport springs on coilovers plus 15mm all round spacers with zero rubbing.

Thanks for the info, Think I'll go with the 235/35 and 275/30 option just need to look at which brands supply the sizes, so far it's either Pirelli Pzero or Bridgestone Potenza Sport - both XL and non-runflat.

I went with Michelin PS4S..

Conti have their new super duper PS4S basher Conti Sports Contact 7 in those sizes, but availability is very limited and prices are eye watering..makes Michelin look cheap.

Hopefully the Contis price will come down as supply opens up..looking forward to trying them next

275/30 rear and fronts 245/35. Below you can see 265 and they are strechted.

I've got 788m wheels (exact same dimensions) with 265s on the back and can confirm they do look stretched. No problem from a driving point of view, but I will switch to 275 when they are due for replacement. Same with the 235s on the front but I don't know how well 245s fit the arches?

Well Panta Rhei has the 245/35 on his 35i(s?) and it seems to work.

The 235/35 is a stretch on the 9J, the 245/30 is more in the sweet spot..strangely the Conti technical guide suggests that for a 9J you really should have a 255/35 tyre! It suggests that both 235/35 and 245/35 are best on a 8.5J wheel.

I went with the 235/35 as its a perfect match with a 270/30 on rolling radius..the 245/35 is 1% out...which is still within the DSC limits

here you have 18", but tyres are nearly same in cirumference - 245/40/18 + 275/35/18 - perfectly fit the arches
Wheels are styling 513M from M3 8,5J front and 9.0J rear

Ended up going with the Bridgestone Potenza Sport - Non-run flat, ratings look good and reviews were positive, they're being fitted on Friday next week, earliest I could get it sorted with work commitments etc, I'll get pic's etc up when they're fitted

Goodyear Asymmetric 5 was another option I think in those sizes?

I couldn’t find a supplier that listed a matched set of Goodyears, possibly could have found them but I didn’t have time to phone around, just ordered online via Asda tyres and they’re being delivered to and fitted by a local company

Oh, they are nice. I would like different wheels, but want to stay with 18” so these look good.
From the little M badge I’m guessing they are genuine. Which car has them from the factory?
