As Alpinas of each variety are so rare, the UK classes mine on a 'generic' tax band, so it is £300 a year cheaper than the equivalent 3 series. Insurance is cheap too!Barty said:

Now that’s ideal! Because the government deemed them too small in numbers to individually bracket, they just end up on a generic pile. Sometimes the system can work to your advantage it seems
Lovely B3 that, it continues to amaze me how Alpina manage to create an instantly recognisable and individual look with relatively small and few changes
This was my gift to myself at forty , kept it for 3 years , what a superbly crafted thing , sounded absolutely amazing at full chat !!!!! I tried many different cars ie 911 R8 and various mercs and BMWs none felt as special as the aston did by some margin.
