What reader did you end up ordering?

You can check abs sensors with a multimeter to determine which one if any are sending the wrong reading. Haven't done this myself but know someone who has and it worked for him. Just Google check wheel speed sensor with multimeter and should be some guides and YouTube clips

...
+1. So we can compare notes :)
My Creator 310+ is out for delivery right now so it should be here soon. I will post a bit on it as soon as I test it. See how much it can help with my Transport Mode issue (Colb has made it clear it will not fix it, but I can always dream... )

Steering angle works in conjunction with your wheel speed sensors to calculate when tyres pressure drops and give you warning.

It does tie in with the dashboard errors.

I'd try calibration of the steering angle, your new code reader should be able to do that.

If it won't calibrate or error continues I'd be looking at what needs to be done to change it, I don't have a clue as I've never had the issue myself.

Hi all, I don't mean to hijack the thread but thought I could ask a quick question while we're on topic as it were.
For the second time I had the dreaded Yellow Trifecta of warning lights come on tonight. The last time was just over a year ago caused by a corroded and swollen reluctor ring. As well as the yellow lights as shown here (+ the ABS warning light), the car / engine started to stutter and lurch until I deactivated the DSC and then it drove as normal. New ring and all was well again.
This time, the warning lights have come up again although the car still seems to be driving as normal, which makes me think it might be something else - an ABS sensor perhaps? So, being as I still have one unused reluctor ring left I thought I would get one or two ABS sensors as well before I take it to the mechanic.
I assume that both rear sensors are the same as each other and likewise the front ones, but are the front and rear sensors interchangable?
It would save having to buy two if they were.
Again, sorry to butt in.
Cheers,
Robert.

Just do the wheel alignment. I had the same problem a few months ago and lights disappeared after alignment.

Another update on my 3 yellow lights..
Plugged in my code reader and did a live feed of wheel speed sensors, all 4 were working when driving occasionally dipping a single mph on some wheels when driving .I'd say that's due to road undulating.
So from that I can assume it's not the wheel sensor.
I cannot erase the error codes for the steering sensor or the DTC both .
My scanner says .
Does not support this function.
So am o right in saying ..
I have to recalibrate steering .to erase these codes..

Well, sorry to hear that, but it seems we both bought useful tools that did not quite get the job done.
It will take a while before I can get my Scanner V14 back down here, but it seems that these Foxwell & Creator tools are more for telling you what is happening than for fixing them. I find it interesting that your scanner also tells you something along the lines that a function is not supported. That is what my Creator tool says about the DELETE TRANSPORT MODE function.
Bummer. Hope you can fix yours quickly.

Yes I do find it kind of silly..
I did watch a youtube video that showed the same 3 lights issue.. and the guy performed a reset of the steering sensor.
Just doing that eradicated the 3 lights..
So that's next ..

Ok heads up to all you guys who have followed this thread.
Here's the answer /conclusion..

The reader I bought came up.with the codes but cannot reset them by erase code feature on this issue.
The code reader doesn't tell you that the only way to clear these codes is to calibrate the steering sensor..
As soon as the calibration awas done the three yellow warning symbols dissaperd , and the dashboard is normal once again .

I've got no idea why it needed recalibrating or what caused it.

I hope this will be of some help to others who get this issue.

By the way autophix 7910 is worth buying it can do virtually everything a z4 owner needs ,without having to.plug it into a laptop....£80from ebay..

Many thanks for all your help
