Full of rubbish in there and the door is a bit narrow which make me think the chance of damage the car when moving in and out is far greater than damage by weather :?

Glad mine was well tucked up in the garage last night. It was carnage waking up this morning with very large chunks of tree everywhere. Winds were recorded at 98mph and now it's only snowing.

Looking forward to when this much publicised global warming kicks in. :tumbleweed:

all the driver assistance features will stop you hitting the sides. i'd be clearing the garage out, sticking up a camera in the garage and tucking it up!!

Except parking distance control, I don't think G29 has any rear or side hitting prevention capability. At least mine doesn't have them. :(

I managed to get a 5 series into my garage with both mirrors folded. The space inside of my garage is actially quite good. I managed to detail the 5 series when it's inside the garage. The trouble is the door. I think the builder was trying to save some money here so that they specified a quite narrow door. After the 5 series, I think I will not put any car inside the garage, which results in tons of rubbish down on the floor, up in the roof, and hang in the air. :headbang: :headbang:

It will have dependant on the options specified. I think that it's "Driving Assistant" that gives you the all round sensors

It is! I found that out yesterday. Couldn’t believe how much info was coming up on the screen. Previous g29 only had front and back.

Based on what I read and understand from the BMW configurator, the even with the Driving Assistant pack (gives you ACC and driving assistant), it does not have the parking assistant which can actively monitor the surrounding when you park the car and apply the brake when you are going to hit anything. I think the driving assistant will only help you or give you any warning when the car is driven at certain speed range which is much faster than the speed when I try to carefully move the car through the narrow garage door. Maybe someone with the Driving Assistant pack can try reversing into an object (e.g traffic cone or wheelie bin wrapped by bubble wrap :P ) and whether the car will brake for you? I once tried this on the G31 and it can but that car has the parking assistant plus package which is not available for G29.

How's condensation effects on that fabric roof inside?

My Jeep TJ single skin has chronic condensation problems..really shocked..so bad it is making mould on the seats from the drips..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
