Cheers!!! Yes, fairly easy. First of all, prise the leather gearstick gaiter up at a corner and pop it off. Doesn't need to come all the way off just off the plastic part as you can thread the gaiter through the plastic part as you remove it. Then the plastic gear stick surround pops off its clips - I used a small trim removal tool to get underneath it and prise it up. Take your time to avoid breaking any tabs underneath.
The hazard/locking button block pushes out from the back towards you then you can either disconnect it from the wiring block (I found mine wouldn't budge) or again, turn it on its side and squeeze it through. The small flat/curved piece further down nearer the handbrake will just slide out if you push gently down and forward.
