Tax and insurance isn’t as much of an issue here in the Netherlands. Tax is based on fuel type and vehicle weight, coming in at around €800/year for a B3. Insurance isn’t up for yearly renewal like in the UK but rather based on you as a driver as well as where you live. So no yearly price hikes or surprises; what you get is what you get

As Alpinas of each variety are so rare, the UK classes mine on a 'generic' tax band, so it is £300 a year cheaper than the equivalent 3 series. Insurance is cheap too!
I know this is a 'what you had before' thread, but here's a picture of 'what I have now' (have an E89 aswell):D

Now that’s ideal! Because the government deemed them too small in numbers to individually bracket, they just end up on a generic pile. Sometimes the system can work to your advantage it seems

Lovely B3 that, it continues to amaze me how Alpina manage to create an instantly recognisable and individual look with relatively small and few changes

This was my gift to myself at forty , kept it for 3 years , what a superbly crafted thing , sounded absolutely amazing at full chat !!!!! I tried many different cars ie 911 R8 and various mercs and BMWs none felt as special as the aston did by some margin.
And yes I wished I’d never sold it !!!

My first Sunday Toy which I bought in 1999 sold it 2009 or roundabout. It’s was fantastic fun, I had it bored out to 1480cc with a twin choke Weber, great fun on the Sprint track, and pretty quick up to 70mph
