With regards to your screen why on earth are you considering paying for a new one!?
Tap it with a hammer and crack it, call your insurance, they will call autoglass and you will get a brand new screen either for free or at the most a £75 excess payment.... Probably within 24 hours.....

Reading your post with interest.
I had a similar issue although not quite as bad with a Toyota a few years back.
Original screen and it just kept smearing right in the field of vision. Dealership tried everything to clean it. Nothing worked. New wiper blades didn’t fix it.
I thought it may have been sap or something.
It wasn’t as bad as yours and I ended up just living with it.

Well i'm still waiting, so i suppose i will now have to start chasing it up for the next 6 months.
I give it a month before it "will" need another screen.

Looks to be an old thread, where were the wires that caused a68c code? Right or left side of car? I’m having the same issue.

Right hand side. The break was somewhere along the red line i drew on photo. I just replaced withe new twin wire, all sorted.
I cut the wires at the connector and near the bend, then soldered in two new wires.

How difficult was it to lift the shell after it released the pressure? I’ve waited about 25 min. It’s not easy so far.

What I did was hit the button to get it to open an inch or two. Waited about 40 min and it won come up more than 3 inches.

Have you dumped the pressure from the two brass hexagon sockets on pump.
Yes mine would rise few inches and stop, problem then boot might be locked.
I have modified my boot so it can be opened.
My mod. was poo pooed, but proved very useful.

Ok. I didn’t do that. Does that come first?
Open trunk, open pressure relief valve. Close trunk. Hit the open button for the convertible top.

Or how do you open trunk when the top is partially open?

Thanks. I was able to go from inside the cabin and pull the emergency release. I also found a broken yellow wire where you described. Tomorrow I’ll get to the bottom of the issue.

We don't have the benefit of the emergency release in Euro cars. Next, also need the ski hatch option.
