It isn't user switchable and has to be done through the appropriate hack using Bimmercode or similar. I did ask Sytner if they could do it for me and they said "no"Argyll Andy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 8:04 pm
it might be worth getting in touch and asking if it is a user switchable option as Peter asks??

I'm afraid that I haven't been around long enough to know where the members live but I'm in Tamworth and would appreciate it if anyone lives close enough that is willing to give me a hand.Argyll Andy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 11:49 am

Ian, I’d stick a separate post up with a request for help from a local member. There is a section where members say where they are and what kit/help they can offer but not sure how up to date it isIan J wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 12:40 pmI'm afraid that I haven't been around long enough to know where the members live but I'm in Tamworth and would appreciate it if anyone lives close enough that is willing to give me a hand.Argyll Andy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 11:49 am

Ian, which vGate did you purchase? I use the vGate vLinker BM+ (Amazon, $40 US) on my 2021 M40i with Bimmercode and it works perfectly. There is a cheaper vGate that does not work with G series BMWs, could that be what you purchased?

Hi Mark. It was the cheap n cheerful Vgate iCar Pro BLE 4.0 but I'll give yours a try.

For my second attempt I used a TONWON vLinker BM WiFi OBD Scanner which cost me £45.99 from Amazon and it was easy to set up and worked perfectly and I now have a quiet car without that awful artificial exhaust sound
