Hello all Z4 fans, I just entered the forum and I would like to express my compliments for this fine, usefull and very cool website.
I live in The Netherlands and I enjoy my 2006 Z4 E85 3.0 si. In full original beautiful and technically good condition, low miles, delivered in Florida. The cruiseship chef brought it with him when he went back to The Netherlands. The sound and the roar of the 6 cilinder is why I do not need the radio .
Off course I am looking forward to learn more about Z4. Friendly greetings from The Netherlands.

Thans all for your nice welcoming comments!
To answer your question: Yes, I have found some differences between the American and European version. Mainly the headlights without orange blinkers, the red round reflector on the sides of the back bumper and the extra cooling in the engine compartment. I think the back bumper is slightly different in shape too.
The inner is champaign leather with real wallnut wood dash
and centre consoles. I did not see this combination before in Europe. It is a chique but also a bit ‘oldish’ style, until you step on the gas…..

I'm new in here too, and my early impression is exactly the same as yours: really educational and really useful info in here, but also extremely welcoming. If you can find the time, have a look through some of the older posts for US vs EU spec. I can't recall where I read it, but there's a dedicated conversation in the e85/86 forum somewhere here that will probably help you out. There's a z4 US forum too, but they use words I don't understand (like 'trunk' and 'fender' ). Good luck tomorrow
You only live twice. I'm on my 2nd.

Hello and welcome to the forum, you certainly found a great parking spot, give it 10 minutes and you know someone in an old fiesta will park 2” from your drivers door, which if you hadn’t noticed is on the wrong side

US spec'd cars had slightly lower power than the European cars.
Something like 255 bhp instead of 261 bhp.
Extra reflectors too.
2.0l was only sold in Europe.
