I am a new member. Thanks for letting me join.

I just took delivery of my new Z4 on May 12th. So far, I have only managed 245 miles on it, none with the top down so far. I live in the desert of Arizona and it's just a bit on the warm side. Forecasting 117F next week. :tumbleweed:

I recently completed the lease of a C63s. It had a few "modifications" and was a blast to drive. Alas, there are so many cars and so little time. I have never owned a BMW before but have always been fascinated by the Z3/Z4. So far, I am very pleased and I can see this becoming a long term vehicle for me. I configured and ordered it exactly the way I wanted it. I ordered it at the end of January and it was delivered in mid-May. It probably would have been quicker but the transport ship got caught in a block-up of the Suez Canal and was delayed getting to the port in Germany.

I am looking to add a few modifications to enhance performance; primarily in the exhaust and air intake areas. Any recommendations and/or advice would be greatly welcomed. Thanks again.

Hello and welcome.

Car looks lovely, same as the one I’m picking up in a few weeks but mine has black leather.

Re additions, this site has some exhausts available and they have sound clips of them versus standard on each tab. The M40i one in sports sounds pretty good

Enjoy your new car and hopefully the temperatures drop to let you get the roof down l can’t believe I’m saying that when I sometimes need to clear the snow off of mine to get the roof down

Thank you Andy! The information is greatly appreciated. If you get tired of the snow, come on out to AZ. Just be sure to bring your dental records so they can identify your burned mortal remains.

One day I will get a orange first edition - future planning

Hello and welcome. Why have you had the top up in 117f heat? If you say it's too hot for top down, you get zero sympathy this side of the pond! :)

Do BMW class the reg number as an extra now too? Options list: steering wheel, seats, registration number :poke:

Some people won't put the top down in extreme heat - Spanish people do the same and it baffled me as well :?

Indicators are optional extras and rarely ever ticked on the list

Parking sensors are only used on BMs so you don't hit the tw*t in front while flashing your lights for them to get out of the way

Indicators? What are they for?

I’m in the west coast of Scotland, we rust, not tan. I would turn to dust in that heat when I stepped off of the plane

Oh and if your wallet is deep, here’s an intake

Well I got a sun tan on the eastern seaboard (of England) today, and yesterday, and the day before :P

great to see piscine the first post

It's been edited, but we do need to pool our knowledge even when swimming against the tide.

Anyway welcome aboard Murray104.

That's a great colour combination - I'm just glad it has arrived!

Glad you’re enjoying your new G29. Sounds like it was worth the wait and Misano blue and cognac looks good together.
