How to chek if rims fit your car

I've been looking around for some time of a good resource to figure out what wheels will fit. Too many variables to consider:
1) will the offset fit my car?
2) will the tire fit the rim?
3) will my speedometer reading be all screwed up?
4) will the rims be rubbing?
5) <add yours here>?

I found a couple very useful resources I though I would share

LINK #1 tells you how the diameter/speedometer reading of different tires compares to a standard.

LINK #2 gives you detailed dimensions of the wheel compared to a standard. It gives measures of suspension, fender and wheelwells clearance. And also tells you the rim size that a particular tire size will fit on.

It would be great to find a resource that tells you what tire size would fit on a particular rim size. If anyone has it, it would be great if he/she could share it.

I've always found this site a good source of information on wheels and tyres.
