New Samsung mobile, old (2010) E89. Which PIN to use, please? It's 4+ years since I did it and I can't remember.

From memory, clear your paired phones on the idrive - set the phone to search and the car should show up with its identity number - check its the same on your phone and it'll pair itself (2016 E89 and a Samsung S20+)

Your memory's right. The trick was to clear the already paired phone, which I couldn't do/see how to do because it was hidden on the right hand side of the split screen. Then 0000 worked.
