LED puddle lights
Allow me to say "hi". Taking delivery of my Z4 (M40i) this weekend and I'm more excited than ever! Don't ask me why but I kind of like the looks of the add-on of the LED "courtesy" / "puddle" lights that one can swap out the factory lights for. Does anyone have any experience or insight into the feasibility / fit to the G29 Z4?

No info share about the puddle lights but I can confirm the M40i will be worth waiting for. It’s an absolute stunner. Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum
I recently purchased the LED puddle lights and additional filters from Cotswold BMW Parts Department. They were super easy to fit and look great, so I recommend them.

Ok. So I’ve ordered the inserts and I have them, but have no idea how to fit them. It was the only option online for my m40i. I was surprised I didn’t need to order replacement lights, but only the inserts were an option.
How did you fit them?

BMW sells them as well, a bit more expensiver probably, but they come with only a few logos, so i didn't buy it i wanted my company's logo in it.
I believe you can just pop them out and disconnect them then pop the other ones in, you need to have a light already at the bottom of your door (not sure if all G29s have this).

Took delivery today of the Z4. They tried to pop in the BMW-brand lights and they don’t fit this model. Apparently BMW doesn’t make them for this car.raven wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 8:43 am BMW sells them as well, a bit more expensiver probably, but they come with only a few logos, so i didn't buy it i wanted my company's logo in it.

Ok. So now when I enter my vin number it allows me to order the LED projector not just the slides. I’ll try fitting it, but I’m not sure how as I can take the cover off the current lights not sure how to take them all out. Will give it a go!
