+1 for the noise & in that regard understand the Eventuri‘s always ON, IMO the Gruppe bubbles away quietly until provoked.

Both are a pipe with a cone filter at the end, would be surprised if they behave differently. As someone whose leaning towards the eventuri can someone confirm if it’s subdued until you open the throttle wide.Jembo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 8:11 pm +1 for the noise & in that regard understand the Eventuri‘s always ON, IMO the Gruppe bubbles away quietly until provoked.

Indeed, you probably can't hear it at all until 50% throttle.Adam D wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 9:10 amBoth are a pipe with a cone filter at the end, would be surprised if they behave differently. I've got a Gruppe and been in an M with an Eventuri. I'd say there was a slight difference in tone with the Gruppe being a bit more 'bassy' but that could be just my bias! Both essentially the same and they only get noisy when you really open the throttle up. Not really sure either can always be 'on' as such as the sound is related to how much the throttle bodies are open and how hard the engine is working I would have thought. Don't remember thinking the Eventuri did anything sound wise that different to the Gruppe.

Just got this little badboy for 2000skr (ca 190€, or 200£) seems it was a decent price..?
Juat cleaned it, incl the filter which was pretty dirty.

Finally took the plunge and fitted an eventuri yesterday. I can see my mpg suffering a dip as the noise is quite addictive good kit and everything just went on as per the instructions. Seems most vocal/resonant 3-5krpm

Mine is fitted and I can confirm all comments above are true:
Sounds great 2.8k and above. Was easy to fit (Using web instructions not the supplied ones) Sounds deep growl, otherwise quiet and normal.

Z4M Air Intake Options / Benefits / Problems?
This is little off topic but since a few people with GruppeM and Eventuri intakes have posted here, I thought it was a good place to post.
I have recently fitted Supersprint stepped headers and cat’d s-pipe to my Euro-spec Z4M and the increased exhaust noise has covered the intake sound quite a bit. I would still like to deepen the exhaust tone a bit and am considering completing the exhaust (SS x-pipe and/or Powerloops) but I am worried this will completely drown out the intake.
I will almost certainly be fitting an Eventuri intake and it would be great to hear experiences of people who have complete or near complete aftermarket exhausts and an intake and whether the intake is still clearly audible. I much prefer the intake noise to the exhaust on an S54, so will be making an exhaust decision based on making sure the intake is prominent. All comments would be appreciated!
