What have you done to your car today?

Retrofitted cruise control (£117 from a BMW dealer for the stalk, wiring already there) and adjusted the steering motor ring thingy again while I was down there - hopefully third time lucky! Also disconnected the reversing beep wire which I accidentally reconnected last time I adjusted the steering :headbang:

Hard top is going back on for the winter tomorrow, when/if it stops raining for long enough....

Hi new to the forum, had my Z project just over a month and since I’m on furlough I’ve been making use of my time... last week I fitted new rear springs, shocks, and top mounts, relocated and repaired the roof motor, fitted poly arb bushes, and done the oil and filters. Got new front springs and top mounts to go on this week just need shocks to arrive.

Washed, polished, hoovered, swapped private plates out for original plates, photographed and got busy writing an advert. :|

Finally sorted my Drivers door switch. (Adjuster for mirrors not working) Managed to purchase a used switch for £30 and change the trim covers over. You'd never know. All working again. :driving:

Great result for little outlay. I guess it's a small price to pay for owning a 15yr + car 👍🏻

Got it back from the garage after they had it for 2+ weeks and for 3 weeks before that it was laid up in my dad's workshop whilst I did some work on it. Totally forgot how to drive it after getting out of my old Saab 93 which I'd been using for the 5 weeks. Glad to have her back, new spings and brake lines fitted; dare I say the brake finally feel have decent!

Bought one of those cheap glue pull kits of the infamous auction site. Sat and watched a few tutorials on that other infamous place and then thought I would have a go at the 2 small dings in the Zed. One was there when I bought it and the other was done by a prat with a suspension bush flying out the bench vice
So, glued and pulled a few goes on the boot lid 'bush' dent and brought it up flush , so just have a little scratch to touch in and polish out.The rear wing pulled a lot easier and after 4 or 5 goes is now not noticeable. For £30 for the bits I bought, was far cheaper than a dent man coming out to fix and happy with the results. Yes, there is a risk it could go very wrong , but taking my time seems to have worked fine.
