Removed the CDV. Has it made a difference? Yes, but if anyone else does it don't expect dramatic changes to the way it changes gear, just subtly smoother.

Agreed. Had mine done yesterday and probably expected too much, or, had basically trained myself to drive the Z as smooth as possible anyway.

I found the CDV delete gives you a more responsive clutch more than anything, if youre looking for ways to improve the gear change adding a weighted gear knob and changing the gear box oil is about as much as you do.

Getting new rear tyres fitted - £106.39 each through F1 Autocentres, fully fitted price.

This is for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 5's, 255/35 R18. This is the lowest price I have ever seen, with Kwikfit/BlackCircles and similar coming in at £275 so pretty pleased with myself :)

I found the CDV delete made a significant difference to mine

Especially when needing to change gear quickly at high revs to bat off tossers who drive golf GTi's

Hunter alignment but turns out my rta bushes are knacked. All rear bushes ordered to save any further grief later on. Then got quoted £500 to respray both sides and bonnet which I think is very reasonable so that'll be next on the list after all the geometry is sorted and I've fitted my replacement wings. If this rain stops I'll change my drivers side bowden cable.

Hopped into the car to drive it down to the shops and back (that's the only exercise the car gets these days!) flipped the wipers on to clear the rain drops off the screen, then had to stop the car to go and pick up the driver's wiper which got flung into the middle of the road  Not quite sure how that happened - somehow dislodged on removing cover I guess - oh well, soon sorted :D

Then I tackled the bowden cable and actuator (that is definitely one way to test your patience) then gave it a wash. Strong coffee required now.

Cleaned the rag top and conditioned it Friday night. Saturday morning gave it a wash, full interior groom, them a machine polish followed by an application of this - https://mothers.com/products/cmx-cerami ... ting-01024. Most impressed I have to say, don't think I will be using wax again.

Sunday morning was driving time and she got her legs well stretched around Banks Peninsula

Trip out of London to RBM for roof motor relocation, CDV delete and extra oil service. Great experience from Ross and the gang and very reasonably priced work. Met my car's doppelganger there too: H1 ***. Picked up a puppy on the way back. Now need to work out how dog and wife can both fit comfortably and safely in the car...

Part of me was hoping they'd get confused and I'd get yours back instead. Looked very tidy with some trick undercarriage on display!
