Hi Steve, yes that’s the one. I had overlooked it from the start like many others I imagine, due to the poor way it was presented in the ad. I actually posted about it some weeks ago, I thought it was being sold by that numpty that gave me grief when I asked about service history on another car. As it turns out the seller had just chosen to copy paste the text of the worst Z4 advert in the country. When digging deeper I found out it was a BMW demonstrator for a short while, it was then bought by the lady I got from and she’s had it ever since (10years). Apparently it was recommended to her by a friend working in the dealership where it was the demonstrator as a good one, so she bought it. Just shows an ad can make or break a sale, I bought it, drove it home, stopped on my drive and took those pictures, seemingly adding a goodly amount to its value buy moving it and taking better picturesSteve Page wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:35 pm Was that the one on Autotrader down near East Grinstead? Looks very nice don't think the sellers pics in the ad really did it justice if it is.

Yes 296 with RFTs, obviously not the original wheels as they would have crumbled along the way. It now has the stronger ones on the rear so they have both been changed at some point, it has FBWSH including tyre changes, hence all tyre replacements have been for OEM recommended RFTs I imagine.

Not seen a dash like that before, it neither has the idrive screen or the storage compartment.

With those photos you can now sell it for 11,000 GBP!Big Bad Boris wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 9:00 amHi Steve, yes that’s the one. Believe it or not it actually was an option from BMW, a cheaper way to have satnav rather than the full blown iDrive. Not sure if it was from the factory or dealer retrofit but an option none the less.

At last! Hooray.
A lovely looking motor you've bagged yourself there.
Of course, given the saga it's been, I fully expect it to start raining now!
Indeed there is another plus point for a whippy! Helps locate your car in a flood.

As is traditional Mr Silverstar is correct it is BMW option (it’s a Garmin unit) I think only a dealer retrofit though, a clue.... the box was in the bootSilverstar wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 1:44 pmBelieve it or not it actually was an option from BMW, a cheaper way to have satnav rather than the full blown iDrive. Thanks Mr Scootr, I assumed your good lady said no to you buying that orange Lambo for me By “side markers” do, you mean swapping the clear side indicators for the later silver ones? And you’ll have to enlighten me as to what “blob lights” are

Here you can see my original side marker is a blob of plastic light... and then the 'facelift' versions from ebay fitted.

Gotcha, they look pretty good actually, I assume that’s Ebay in the U.S.?
Anyone sourced these in the U.K, I assume they just pop on and off fairly easily?

You can find them on eBay UK or just get them from your local dealer, I had mine painted Sapphire Black to match the car:

They do pop off and on. I had to use a small square stick to push the front tab back down in the body cavity to release the original. Or maybe the correct method is to lift the rear and slide the light to the rear? I used the stick and they popped off. A flashlight makes all this clear. The black looks great on black Mr. Silverstar It's obvious black lines matter
