Well glad it’s not just me that doesn’t care for them, they look more like something my missus would wear on a night out than a suitable set of footwear for an E89. I imagine it cost quite a lot to make a 30i look a bit odd?

Ooh, yes found them on the web, looks like the best part of £1700 for 19 inchers 😳

What is the market for these style of wheels (what vehicles are they generally aimed at)? They aren’t really suited to a Z4 IMHO.

So thinking aloud.....they are pretty expensive wheels, seemingly in very good condition, If buying that particular car where would the market be to sell them and raise funds for some proper Z4 alloys.

They would suit some cars although right now I can't think which. You could put them on eBay Gumtree etc.

Assuming they are the right widths and offsets, they'd look a lot more at home on a modified 5 series, 6 series or 7 series.

But as said ebay is probably the best place for them... assuming the car isnt too expensive with them on, you'd only need to clear £400 to get some decent oem wheels with tyres.

Probably look fine on an 80s American lowrider - or something European trying to replicate that over here.

...and don't forget, some people are registered blind :P

    Not for me though!

I guess I'm the odd one out here. I kind of like them. I've always liked the old school sports cars with the wire spoke wheels. Kind of reminds me of those...kind of.

I tend to agree with you, the actual spokes part of the wheels, I think are really nice. It’s the daft blingy silver band on the outside that ruins them.

I spoke to the owner earlier. He said he has the original BMW wheels in his garage, I asked for pictures.... he sent some and they are 296s. I asked if they were 18 or 19 inch as I couldn’t quite make it out from the pics. He hasn’t replied yet, but as I now know the 18 inchers don’t exist they will be 19 inch versions, probably already cracked or repaired I guess.
