Mr Tidy, thanks yeah... I’m pleased. Not the most flattering pic, but serves the purpose.

You're right, they look so much better in the flesh.
I much prefer the look of the 290s on my 3 Series too.

I've got a B12 Kit on mine and its a huge improvement on the 70k M Sport stuff that came off. I had a mates garage fit it for me and I folllowed my wife who was driving the E89 to drop it off and pick it up. Following from behind you could really see the difference it had made, the car was much more stable on the road, not bouncing around over the bumps/undulations in the road, it just seemed to hug the road. She even phoned me on the way back to wax lyrical about just how much of an improvement it had made, which spoke volumes as that's not like her at all! Well at least when it comes to car stuff.
Obviously after that I was quite keen to try it and all I say it was a huge improvement in every way. I thought the B8 uprated dampeners would make the ride harsher but improve the handling. Well not only did the handling improve, so did the ride quality, everything just improved! The rides more comfy, your not bounced around in your seat anywhere near as much on the bumps and the car definitely handles better, corners flatter etc. Well worth doing.
If your looking for a B12 kit your better off searching for "Eibach B12" kit rather than "Bilstein B12" kit in the normal haunts of ebay, amazon and google etc. They're exactly the same thing (Eibach springs and Bilstein B8 shockers, same part numbers etc) its just the Eibach monikered ones seem to retail cheaper for some reason.
Drop wise on standard SE suspension your looking at 25mm front and 15mm rear. M Sport its 10mm Front and 0mm Rear. If you want anymore your looking at H&R springs or coilovers etc. My personal opinion is the H&R ones lower the E89 too much looks wise and I can't comment on the ride/handling with them

MACK, thanks for the write up!
What sort of money do you pay for a garage to fit them?

Anyone heard of this site: https://www.tunershop.co.uk/eibach-b12- ... r-e89.html
The B12 kit seems a good price, shipping costs can’t be that bad from Germany. I’d rather go direct than have the UK margin on top.
Do you think the drop will be sufficient for an E89 with standard factory suspension? Bearing in mind I have 265 widths at the back so am conscious of potential rubbing. If I can get away with more of a drop to fill the arches then I’ll have to look at alternate springs.
Thanks

Looks like a good price...in reality after service support is done by a Bilstein service centre so where you buy it from doesn’t really matter relative to likely issues..ZedPhwoah wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 12:57 pm Anyone heard of this site: https://www.tunershop.co.uk/eibach-b12- ... r-e89.html

I assume you’re not a 35i owner..
Personally if you use this car for go rather than show I wouldn’t lower the car any further..
On that basis assuming the alloys you use have similar offsets / widths etc the 265 width shouldn’t be an issue..IMHO..

Well that’s a tight fit on the back...I assume it’s not currently rubbing any suspension / liner on the rear at the moment?
If ok then I would go with the Eibach springs but no lower IMHO..

Pbondar, no rubbing, I can get a finger in between
It’s not an uncomfortable ride; I mainly wanted to improve stance... maybe I’ll have to invest in new wheels at a later date.
Thanks for your help!
