M badge replacement stickers

Post by Beemingallover » Sat Mar 28, 2020 4:45 pm

Just noticed that the BMW roundel on the boot of the M3 E92 is decaying, are they easy to remove and replace?

Not sure if you guys have seen these yet but I've just bought a pair of wing badges for my M, as mine are currently faded. They are quite pricey but got them at a decent price when I got them.

Have also bought their BMW badges for the boot and wings and all were original BMW badges and now all my badges look like new.

Thanks, but how do you remove the old badge, I assume it is adhesive, will the paintwork be in danger when removing?

Just had a look at an image, seems to be stud fixing through the bodywork.

I've previously removed stuck on badges carefully using hot water and floss and then clean it thoroughly before re-applying the new badges. Your roundel badges may be different though. The badges are fixed with self adhesive

Thanks for the link Machpb,

however, the original badges seem to be larger than those you bought...can you confirm if those you purchased are identical in size to the original ones?

M badge replacement stickers

All,

An update on the M badge stickers saga: the company I was in touch with would not print and only sell OEM badges. I sent the dimensions of the ones on my Z4M and waiting to hear back from them in terms of size and cost (1, 10, 20 sets etc.).

In the meantime, I came across this company https://www.sporty40.co.uk/ vinyl design and cutting specialists.

I already sent them an email and tried to contact them over the telephone to discuss. Unfortunately, I did not manage to get through and I haven't received a response yet. Will keep you posted.

Good morning all,

a further update and some positive news: there is a company that can provide the "OEM" badges at much reduced rates. See the text of the email I received earlier:
Hi Attilio yes I can do those sizes in sets (2x 72mm + 1x 85mm), available in both silver chrome and matt black (same price). For 1-10 sets I can do £15/set, after that I can do £12.50/set. All prices include UK shipping. If it is a BMW club I can also throw in some goodies as free samples :) I will have to order these from the factory and given the current situation I estimate delivery in around 2 weeks. Please let me know thanks! Emma
I think it's great news, especially considering the price compared to the badges at BMW dealerships.

Let's discuss and perhaps create a new thread for a group buy.

Attilio Please can you confirm if this latest offering is for coloured inlay replacement decals or for entire replacement badges? Sounds interesting either way :)
