Hi, I am about to purchase a 2014 BMW Z4 but the plague has got in the way and it will be a week or so before I get it.

I used to have, in my youth, a whole series of sports cars including an Austin Healey frog eyed Sprite, several TRs and big Healeys culminating in an E Type Jaguar. When my wife, heavily pregnant with our first child, could no longer get in the E Type it was sold for a second hand Ford Cortina Estate!

Now, in my 76th year with 4 children and 5 grand-children, I am about to relive my youth. Until, that is, I can no longer get in the Z4.

Good luck with the new car, but if you're getting it in a week then you're doing something wrong

Welcome to the forum OP.

Some interesting cars in your history too - just a shame that collection of your Z4 couldn't have come at a worse time. :(

But then even if you had it you wouldn't be able to use it much!

Great news. 2nd childhood is better than the first :D In my youth I had a spitfire - in my old age I've a 3 liter Z4 with 2 more gears :driving:
Got any pics of the new car to share?

That's true, my mega E-Type is on the road rather than being a project. :fuelfire:

Probably.

The sad reality is I've only got space for one toy and a daily, so I thought I might as well make the toy a good one! :)

Got my Z4 just now. Insured it through Chris Knott. Now I'm off "shopping"!
