That’s a great price. What time are your sailings ? Route ? I was quite pleased with the price I got until I saw this.

Great! That sounds like a bargain: it is quite difficult to find hotel accommodation at reasonable prices in Dublin.MerBrook wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 8:41 pm I have just booked the Holyhead - Dublin ferry, with Irish Ferries on Friday 22nd and return Tuesday 26th. I have also just booked Friday nights accommodation with Premier Inn, 105.00 euros with breakfast and able to cancel up to 14 days in advance without charge. So if any one has any better suggestions at a similar price then please share.
I understand the hotel could be near Dublin Airport?

Hi Peter,Pbondar wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 5:13 pm I've booked the Stena Cairnryan-Belfast route out on the Friday 22nd and back on the Wednesda 27th May..
Plan to stay close to Dublin friday night, don't know if you have any recommendations (less than an hour from the start point) and then stay close to Belfast on the Tuesday night, again any nice places not too far (less than hour from the port)
since you're coming from the North, the airport could be an ideal location as you won't have to negotiate the city traffic on your way in.
The route starts from the Southside of Dublin but Saturday morning should't be too much of a challenge to cross the city and depending on the number of people staying near the airport/northside we can pick the most convenient route starting point.
For your Tuesday night the same applies: on the way to Dublin you will be able to "veer North" and head for a hotel close to the airport & N1 (direct route to Belfast).

Great news!!!
yes, the price is fairly constant due to the "captive" nature of the market and the volume of people using the service
Looking forward to seeing you guys!

17:05-19:50 on Friday (I’m not sure how much time I will have on the day, I can always detour via some Welsh roads), 14:10-16:55 on Tuesday (so will have to drive on motorways on day 4, but that’s OK.

Ok. Different outbound crossing to us which would explain the price difference but we are booked onto the same sailing as yourself for the return.
Look forward to seeing you there, although I believe we will all meet up in April on the North Wales meet.

Booked into the Skerries on Friday night and Newry on the Tuesday night.
Get into Belfast about 14:00 on the Friday and leave at 13:45 on the Wednesday so should be relatively relaxed positioning .
