Front EU side Reflectors

Are there any dark/smoked options out there for these reflectors?

Image

They seem pretty obnoxious on a black car, especially when modern cars seem to disguise reflector strips a little better.

I've had a look around but can't seem to find any options

Those are really blanks for the US side marker lamps.
The EU Z4M for example don't have anything.

Trouble is I can't just remove them because they'll leave holes behind, I guess I could wrap them

I'm not sure, no doubt I'll find out soon as I need to remove the front bumper to replace headlights/grille anyway

I took mine off, a bit of a pain but not too bad, and spray tinted them which looks ok.

That's what I thought of doing last week. How dark did you tint them? Do you have a side photo?

Stuff that people use to tint lights. Had some in the garage so just used that.

I went quite dark, but i guess you can go as dark as you want depending on how many coats you use and how dark the tint spray is.
Not got any great pics here is a slightly better one.

You can tell that the reflector is not the same colour as the bodywork. For a better finish you could get them painted properly but would cost more.

Thanks for that. I'm thinking of just smoking them, so they effectively look like smoked lights and are less intrusive rather than trying to make them disappear completely.

I've had my M nearly 2 months, and hadn't noticed until I read that!

And an E86 just looks so much better without them.
