I know you have had multiple sets so clearly happy with them but id wager you will get a pleasant surprise when you do eventually try something else , the MPSS were considered a class act many years but are pretty old now by tyre standards  if you were to try the PS4S i think you would be stunned quite how poor the MPSS are  & there are mid range brands that will easily match the MPSS now for half the money
Indeed. A bird in the hand though. This time of year it takes time to bring them in, but knowing the tyres reasonably well, I know what they are going to do in so many different situations and that is worth a lot. It's not all about ultimate, it's about enjoying the car moving around and knowing what is going on under the wheels.

Maybe the next set.

Michelin Pilot Supersports here too. Whilst they are an older tyre the dry performance is somewhere between the Michelin ps4 and ps4s, and seeing as the ps4s doesn't come in 19, and dry performance is what I care about, it gets my pick every time.

I will eventually try Yoko AD08Rs and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports at some point but in terms of all round performance the Michelin Pilot Supersport is very much still up there.

Previously on Falkens (mid range) which I really rated for the money and would happily recommend, but they may not wear as well if you do a bit of mileage. I've been on Goodyear Eagle A3's for a while and cannot fault them. I imagine the later versions will be at least as good.

Currently on some OE Bridgestone runflats. Will almost certainly ditch them for some regular tyres, probably in Michelin Pilot Sport flavour.

Yeah, I'd certainly recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3's. I changed from Vredestein Ultrac Vortis on daisies (17") to these on 18" MV3's & it improved the tramlining no end. Followed that up with new set of control arms & the tramlining has gone now  .

PSS for everyday though I’ll replace with 4S when the wear down. Cup2 or NT01 for track days.

A bird in the hand as they say. I tried Conties, VRed's, and others before finding the MPSS. They have their weaknesses, cold damp tarmac first thing on a winters morning can be entertaining. :o but I know them well now and it is never about ultimate anything on the road. It's about driving pleasure and entertainment. For me the combination of Z4MR and MPSS delivers that in spades. :driving:

Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 - I don't pretend to be a driving God like some on here :P so haven't had any issues with them on the twisty bits. I read a lot of reviews before buying, and they scored well for all conditions. Just couldn't justify the bit extra to get PS3's as I didn't think I'd be able to tell the difference.

Will be interested to see how you get on with these.

I’m coming off the run flats because I just don’t like them even though they’ve loads of tread left.

Been trawling though threads on here to see what’s the best tyre, settle on PS4’s after all the recommendations then read another review or see a different thread where they aren’t rated great in the cold/wet which is what a lot of my driving is done in so completely confused.

Just need to change them soon is all I know

It's the Pilot Super Sports that aren't great when cold or wet, these were replaced with PS4S though the PS4 will most likely suffice for 99% of the time.
Neither of these newer Michelin have any issues cold, wet, warm, dry , they are exlemprary but my dislike of them them is the cabin noise / tyre roar they give off over 50mph & imo other tyres can do 99% of the the job fit far less money.
Some might claim the extra initial spend is worthwhile as they might last far longer but that isn't a requisite for myself
