This could be neither of the parties fault but a problem with the courier, I once had a parcel no show the delivery company told me it was definitely delivered but once I pressed them for proof of delivery they sent me a picture of the door it was delivered too and of course it definitely wasn’t my door. Eventually got a refund but it took ages :x

Isn't it just a shame that we have complete assholes on here that ruin the experience for some. If you don't have anything to contribute/help then just go back and shove your head back up your own arse. All the OP was trying to do was seek some help/advice - nothing wrong about that nor was he crying about it. I'd do the same too.

OP I know how you feel, been a victim of scam in the past on Gumtree myself - such a sh***y way to behave and these scums should be wiped from Earth. Regarding the back boxes you sent back, I'd keep nagging at the courier to chase things up. If Mr Thief Phil has genuinely not received them back, then they can only have been lost in transit - which is not uncommon. I used to work for a large courier franchise myself and the amount of things that get misplaced and later turn up!

OK yeah fair enough he doesn't want to refund your money which you originally paid for the back boxes, but that doesn't go to say he can ask you for an extra £40 and not send you your replacement back boxes or your fully entitled £40 refund. To me this is clearly scam/theft of your money. I would be reporting this to police, claims court and the FOS. You have all his details, so more than likely you'll get somewhere with this in the end I'd hope.

I'd also like to add, Phil did seem to behave very strange when I was looking to purchase a set of exhausts off him too. I sent multiple e-mails and he didn't really respond in a helpful or timely manner again. I don't know, but it all felt very strange with him and I'm glad I didn't end up buying from him/her.

Hope you get this sorted.

CRE wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2019 6:10 am This is a tough situation. If possible open a claim with PayPal or your credit card company. You can always make the issue known publicly. People with established reputations, just like on Ebay, may be forced to action when facing such strong negative reviews in a public setting.

As for the ability of administrators and moderators, we can check to see how active a person has been, see if you've been blocked and check to see if other accounts are using the same IP. We can also, depending on the software hosting the forum, view the history of contact information, primarily current and former email addresses. I am not an admin on this site but I am on a couple others (Supras RULE!). As far as such things go, I'm willing to share this information with the admins on other sites and we generally coordinate to make sure that such things do not repeat. I'm able to view and save the history of edited posts, but this is typically useless. In your situation, the administrators of this aren't able to do much. If this were a case of advertising fraud on the seller's part a bit more would be possible simply in that we can provide some documentation regarding what parts or service were offered and the original post or PM deleted/edited.
Thanks CRE. Nice to see a fellow Supra owner on here too! Welcome on-board.

If the moderators/admins or anyone who knows Phil, could you please let him know I'm still waiting on my £40 refund.

Thanks.

Hi thanks for your help. I have continued to chase it up with the courier and they have advised the parcel has been delivered but will investigate further after speaking with the seller Phil. I have forwarded his contact e-mail and number to the courier, and to no surprise he is ignoring all correspondence again. I may not be able to do anything further in the meantime, but I certainly do expect him to return my additional funds!

Aha! The Thief (Phil/Filkcs) has finally responded by sending me a PM! I forwarded your thread to him a while back.

Unfortunately he had second thoughts and ended up deleting it

So he his well aware of this whole situation OP, yet he still decides to hide like a coward!

Give OP his money back - absolutely no need for members on here to be treated like this

I’m sure if you were on the receiving end of this treatment you would be the first to be moaning. Get a life.
