I’ve Longed for an E86 for ages, finally bought one, ....and now really wish I’d bought an E85.

I do enjoy driving this car, and I do think it’s a better ‘potential’ long term investment than an E85 or E89, it’s a beautiful thing to look at, and drive ....but it seems I just can’t keep my inner hair dresser at bay :headbang:

Call it a mid life crisis, but I think the lure of feeling the wind in my hair ‘While I’ve still got some’ is too strong to resist.

On that basis, I’d consider an E85 Si (2.5 or 3.0) or a 3.0 non Si in PX. I would consider a 2.5 non Si car, but it would need to be special, and I definitely only want a manual. I’d possibly consider trading up to an E89.

I’m not too fussed about the mileage as long as there’s a decent service history

Please bear in mind that my car is priced very competitively, so anyone wanting to trade up/down needs to be equally realistic with what they want for their car.

Ideally a cash sale at £6700 suits me best - and I won’t sell it for less than this.

It’s a good looking car and seems to be priced to sell. I never understand why sellers cover up the reg plate though, it just looks like the seller is trying to prevent anyone from checking the MOT history (not that I suspect that is your reason).

It's not a good idea to show your reg plate as then would easy to clone the number onto another similar car, leading to all sorts of potential issues for the owner later on

You can see any vehicle in the street with a number plate on if you wish to clone one.

Gents,...

Can we keep this on topic please.

If anyone is genuinely interested in the car then of course I’ll let them have the number plate, Vin no etc.

Fact is, if someone wants to clone a Montego Blue Z4, they’d have to drive around for ages to find one in most parts of the UK. If I was looking to clone a car, especially a relatively rare one.... I’d start with google!

To be completely honest, I’m working to a pretty tight time scale and it’s just Sod’s law that my mate has decided to sell his car now!

I’m more than happy keeping this car, and it’s more than likely this is what will happen. But I really want this other Zed, so I thought it was worth a quick advert here... probably won’t even list it anywhere else.

It is yes,

I’ve amended the opening post and confirm this also has rain sensing wipers and is the later ‘Black top’ N52 engine.
