And another word of comfort with the transmission rattle. It still makes me think theres something wrong when I hear it, usually at low speeds when I dip the clutch quickly to go from 1st to 2nd, but I've been put at ease by the number of other people who experience the same thing, so I wouldnt worry

Hi there,
the car look fantastic !
About the washer bottle leaking,I have the same problem ,last week and I changed the small engine,of the washer.
The water goes out from the top of the engine, because of the heat of the engine ,he is breakable.
I bought one from second hand and now everything is clean.
Good lack!
Best regards

The transmission rattle, yep mine does this too at low speeds. I had wondered if it's 'normal' so good to hear it is!

I used to think there was something wrong with mine until I heard a few different videos of them starting up and mostly all having that similar sound.john-e89 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 10:22 amI was going to say the same as Polarbert Micheal, M’s are pretty clunky, especially when cold, compared to more modern cars but it’s normal, unless there is excessive play in the driveshaft. They can clunk a little causing concern but again it’s normal for these, I think you’d really notice it if there was a problem with the diff, for example on every gear change, if it’s not doing that then it sounds perfectly normal.MichaelPorter80 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 9:24 amThanks this gives me some comfort; it almost sounds like it’s coming from the diff behind me... doesn’t sound “broken” or anything just wanted to check whether others had heard it. Thanks again.
Happy M’ing....
Edit: Said ‘normal’ far too many times in that post......damnit.....did it again....

Also it didn't take long for you to change your mind about keeping her stock. I've been in an ///M with an induction kit and it sounded superb.
